Macedonia: Skopje - Bitola - Ohrid
St. Panteleimon, Stobi, Heraclea Lincestis, St.Naum, Struga
Day 1: SKOPJE
Arrival in Skopje, the capital of R.Macedonia. Accommodation in hotel. After the short rest, walking sightseeing of Skopje and its most important monuments, sites and the city center(The Old Bazzar, Fortress Kale, church of St.Savior, memorial house of Mother Teresa…) with a local guide. In the evening, organized dinner in a national restaurant with traditional food and music. Overnight.
Day 2: SKOPJE - BITOLA
Breakfast. After the breakfast, departure from hotel and visit of the church St.Panteleimon, on the flops of mountain Vodno from were a beautiful panorama of Skopje is given. Continue towards Bitola the second largest city in Macedonia. On route visit of Stobi, archeological site dating from the IV century B.C. Nearby the site, organized visit of the wine house “Tikves” were you will have organized lunch with degustation of Macedonian wines. Arrival in Bitola in the afternoon. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 3: BITOLA
Breakfast. After the breakfast, walking sightseeing tour of Bitola and the Wide Street (Sirok Sokak), the most famous pedestrian street in Macedonia, with many coffee shops, modern boutiques, stores… Organized lunch in one of the street restaurants. In the afternoon visit of Heraclea Lincestis, the best preserved archeological site in the Balkan peninsula, in the closest surroundings of Bitola. Return in hotel. Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
Day 4: BITOLA-OHRID
Breakfast. Departure from Bitola and traveling towards Ohrid, the largest touristic center in the country. Arrival around noon, followed with a walking sightseeing of the old town of Ohrid with a local guide, that includes the visits of the most important monuments and archeological sites. Accommodation in hotel. The evening is reserved for a folklore night and dinner in a national restaurant. Overnight.
Day 5: OHRID-ST.NAUM
Breakfast. The morning is planned for a visit of the monastery of St. Naum dating fron the X century and the spings of Lake Ohrid – tha largest natural lake in Macedonia, 30 km from the city traveling by boat. Organized lunch on the spring of the Lake. Return to Ohrid in the afternoon and free time in the city center. Return to hotel. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6: OHRID-STRUGA
Breakfast. Departure from Ohrid and traveling towards Albanian border, with a on route visit of the city of poetry, Struga. Enjoy a short walking tour in the city center and visit of the church St.George. Organized lunch. Continua towards the Albanian border…
